Hospital Accreditation: A Solution for Iranian Challenges or a Challenge for the Hospitals?

As accreditation is of great significance for hospitals, this study aimed to explain the challenges Iranian hospitals through a content analysis approach. A qualitative and thematic was conducted method in 2018. Nineteen semi-structured interviews were with experts data saturated. To increase accuracy precision study, Guba Lincoln's four criteria including credibility, dependability, conformability, transferability used. MAX QDA10 used via five-step framework The findings identified 5 main themes 29 subthemes. included macro policymaking issues, evaluators' structures, processes, executive measures. All them contain related subthemes that indicate national implementing hospital country. need implement major changes applying as quality assurance mechanism. In other words, it seems necessary policymakers affiliated Ministry Health Medical Education revise measures according needs try clarify structure process accreditation. Moreover, improving standardizing skills recommended.
